RIDE TO LEH LADAKH is a Himalayan utopia where dreams come true, where the mountains meet the horizon, and the Indus River dances to the sounds of an enticing civilization—it’s not just another Instagram vacation in the mountains This 8-day Leh Ladakh tour package offers an enchanting journey through Ladakh’s stunning landscapes. Upon arrival in Leh, you’ll spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude. The next day, you’ll explore Leh’s top attractions, including Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, and the lively local market.

Following this, you’ll drive to Nubra Valley for an overnight stay. Nubra is renowned for its sand dunes, monasteries, and hot springs. The journey continues to Pangong Tso, a breathtaking lake at 4,350 meters above sea level, where you’ll spend the night under a starry sky in tranquil surroundings.

 

On Day 5, you’ll head to Hanle to marvel at the night sky from the Indian Astronomical Observatory. The next day, you’ll visit Umling La Pass, the world’s highest motorable pass at 5,883 meters, before returning to Hanle for another overnight stay.

BASIC DO’S AND DONT’S

DO’S:

Your safety is of utmost priority to us!

These are a must.

  • Always carry plenty of water as hydration is vital in high altitude conditions to keep you going. Carrying snacks and energy drinks is also mandatory.
  • Do pack cotton wear, light woolens, strong walking shoes, sunglasses and other items in your backpack. A good sunscreen and moisturiser are also recommended as it will keep your skin protected.
  • A first-aid box with all necessary medicines is another must-have in your bag.
  • If you are on medication, do include them in the box as well. If you aren’t carrying one, do consider buying one and keep it with you at all times.
  • Carry extra batteries for your camera and mobile phones as electricity in certain places of Ladakh can be an issue.
  • While within monastery premises, do take permission of the monk or the person in charge before clicking pictures.
  • Do ensure that you have all documents and permits required as certain attractions admit tourists with requisite permits only.

Don’ts:

  • Avoid wearing clothes such as skirts, sleeveless blouse or tops while travelling in Ladakh, especially in Buddhist Gompas as you might offend their sentiments.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol and smoking during the initial days of your Ladakh trip. Besides, avoiding them completely can be good for your health and the trip.
  • Plastic bags are officially banned in Ladakh, hence, it is advisable to avoid carrying them.
  • The land is abundant with gorgeous flora and fauna. Do not harm or disturb them as you trek across the geographical and cultural landscape. 

    THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE TRIP

    • Book trains/flights to Leh arriving by 12 PM on the trip start date.
    • Book return trains/flights from Leh departing after 4 PM on the trip end date.
    • Itinerary may change due to weather, road conditions, or participants’ physical ability.
    • Schedule changes may be made for safety, comfort, and wellbeing.
    • Vehicles will only go to the parking area; sightseeing must be done on foot from there.
    • Hotel and Camp Check-In/Out:
    • Hotel check-in: 12 PM, check-out: 10 AM.
    • Camp check-in: 4 PM, check-out: 10 AM.
    • Hotels are subject to availability; similar properties will be provided if necessary.

  • Any cost arising due to natural calamities like landslides, roadblocks, etc. (to be borne directly by the customer on the spot).
  • Anything not mentioned in the inclusions.
  • Costs arising due to any change in tourism policy between Bhutan-India travel and trade policies.
  • Costs arising due to changes or delays in flight timings. EscapeArc, as a responsible travel partner, will definitely try to minimize the impact of delays but shall not be liable/responsible for such incidents.
  • Airport pick-up and drop-off not included.
  • Entry tickets to any monuments are not included.
  • Any damage to the bike except engine damage must be borne by the client.

Day 1 Leh Arrival and Acclimatization

Arrive in Leh and check-in at the hotel.

Acclimatize to the high altitude and enjoy a welcome dinner.

Day 2 Leh Local Sightseeing

Breakfast at the hotel. witness the marvel of the Magnetic Hill, where your vehicle will appear to defy gravity,

and the Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, a Sikh shrine built to commemorate the visit of Guru Nanak

Dev to Ladakh.

Visit Shanti Stupa, Hall of Fame.

Day 3 Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

After a substantial breakfast at the hotel, start your day off right and get ready for an exciting day full of adventures.We'll take you on an exciting journey to Nubra Valley today via Khardung-La, one of the world's highest motorable roads with breathtaking vistas of the surrounding snow-capped peaks.

  • We'll stop at the magnificent Shanti Stupa, a gorgeous white-domed Buddhist stupa with expansive views of the city, before traveling on to Nubra Valley.We'll then carry on to Nubra Valley, where you may check into your accommodation and get ready for an exciting day of activities.
  • A trip to the sand dunes, also referred to as India's chilly deserts, is the first item on the itinerary (Hunder) enjoy a camel safari at Hunder (self-paid).
  • Overnight stay at Diskit.
Day 4 Nubra To Turtuk Village Back To Nubra

Enjoy a stunning dawn and, after breakfast, head into the isolated Muslim village of Turtuk, which has about 4,000 residents.

Rich in culture, history, and customs, Turtuk provides an enthralling window into the life of its friendly residents, who will extend a warm welcome to you.

Return to Diskit by sunset after spending some time at Turtuk Village's immaculate surroundings.

Savor a delicious dinner to please your palate, then get comfortable for a restful night's sleep that will give you a boost of energy.

Day 5 Nubra to Pangong Tso via Shyok

After a delicious breakfast, get up and head through the villages of Agam and Shyok to the well-known Pangong Tso. This gorgeous Asian lake changes color four to five times per day!

Get ready to be astounded by Pangong Tso, popularly referred to as the "Lake of the Great Hollow," the largest lake in Asia. Day 6 Pangong TO Hanle

Day 8 Hanle To Leh Via Chumathang. Overnight stay in Leh

It's time to say goodbye to the picturesque Hanle village and return to Leh after breakfast. Don't worry, though—the trip back will be just as thrilling as the one there!
You'll go through the picturesque Chumathang Valley, which offers absolutely stunning vistas.
You'll finally arrive in Leh around nightfall following a revitalizing lunch stop in Upshi. However, the journey is not yet finished!
You have one more day in Leh, so spend it exploring the local marketplace and cafes and taking in all that this fascinating city has to offer. Day 9 Departure from Leh
